The racial profiling of black Americans is ubiquitous. Just ask any black person. A black friend living in New York City was just telling me how sales staff follow her around any time she walks into a high-end store; she is asked repeatedly, too many times, if she is looking for something or needs help; and when she indicates that she is with a white friend, sales staff tend to display relieved surprise.
